Better Together Dog Park

 Better Together Dog Park is pet-friendly. Rochester’s first indoor dog park and bar provides an indoor, temperature controlled space for your dog to run and play, alongside a bar for humans to socialize over food and drinks. Large and small dogs are welcome to exercise and socialize safely without a leash, or worrying about the weather. You'll find agility equipment, toys and doggie accessories around the facility, too. Single day passes are $15 and additional pups cost $7 each. Alternatively, local dogs may find it more financially viable to purchase an annual membership for $250. Better Together Dog Park is open Wednesday through Friday from 5pm to 8pm and Saturday to Sunday from 12pm to 7pm. 

Highland Park

 Highland Park is a 150-acre park in Rochester, NY, which is dog friendly. Highland Park is home to Warner Castle and Sunken Garden, and visitors can take the opportunity to admire blooming flowers and walk the pretty tree-lined trails. The park also features multi-use athletic fields, a playground and amphitheater. Fido must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. 

Greece Canal Dog Park

 Pets will love to play off leash at Greece Canal Dog Park in Rochester, NY. This fenced, one-acre dog park includes a separate area for smaller dogs. However, all dogs must be registered with the Monroe County Department of Parks for entry to the dog park (or will be subject to a fine). Ellison Dog Park

 Ellison Dog Park in Rochester, NY is a canine paradise where dogs can roam and play. This spacious park offers plenty of room to run and explore, with separate areas for small and large dogs. The park also provides water stations, waste stations and shaded seating areas for pet owners. An annual fee is required to access this Monroe County park, and documentation of your dog's license and rabies vaccination is required. 

Other Half Brewing Company

 Other Half Brewing Company features a pet-friendly taproom in Bloomfield, NY. This brewery and taproom welcomes leashed dogs to join their owners as they enjoy a lovely beer brewed fresh on the premises. The beers range from juicy IPAs to dark beers and more. Keep an eye out for experiences offered, including fun events and a part-time food truck available Thursdays through Sundays. 

Mendon Ponds Park

 Mendon Ponds Park is the largest Monroe County Park with 2,500 acres of woodlands, ponds, wetlands and glacially-created land forms. Located in Honeoye Falls, NY, this pet-friendly park welcomes leashed dogs to enjoy a hike with you on the trails, except for the Nature Trail behind the Nature Center. 

Seven Story Brewing

 Seven Story Brewing is pet-friendly. Bring your leashed pooch with you to keep you company while you sample delicious brews on tap, snacks to soak it up and good vibes around the fire pit outside. Seven Story Brewing is open Monday through Thursday from 4pm to 10pm, Friday from 2pm to 10pm and Saturday to Sunday from 12pm to 10pm. 

Woofs Canine Club & Indoor Dog Park

 Woofs Canine Club & Indoor Dog Park in Webster, NY, for some off-leash socialization and playtime. As the first indoor dog park in the area, you and your pup can visit regardless of the weather and enjoy the 6,000 square feet of pet-friendly play space while practicing on the agility equipment.
 

Henrietta Dog Park at Lookup Park

 Henrietta Dog Park at Lookup Park is a members-only, leash-free space for Fido to play in Henrietta, NY. Membership requirements include an up-to-date rabies vaccination, a license, and a completed registration with fees paid to the town. This grassy park is divided into two areas: a 1.59-acre large dog park and a 0.72-acre small dog park (for pets 18" or smaller, under 25 pounds, elderly dogs, and dogs with disabilities) 

Exit 9 Flea Market

 Exit 9 Flea Market is a seasonal, pet-friendly market in Avon, NY. There is ample parking and everyone is welcome to browse a wide selection of unique treasures, including Fido. Pets must be leashed and cleaned up after, and they cannot be left unattended while you shop. 

Ganondagan State Historic Site

 Ganondagan State Historic Site is a pet-friendly recreation area in Victor, NY, where you and Fido can walk the land of the Seneca on three marked trails. Learn about the significance of plant life to the Seneca at this historic site while Fido enjoys some exercise and fresh air. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you on the trails. 

Lehigh Valley Trail

 The Lehigh Valley Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk  

Stumblin’ Monkey

 Stumblin’ Monkey is a dog-friendly brewery in Victor, NY. This laid back microbrewery is a great place to hang out with Fido inside, as there's no food prepared on the premises. They also have umbrella-covered tables on their outdoor patio to enjoy on a sunny afternoon. The list of beers on tap include Belgian Wit, Raspberry Lime Gose, Mixed Berry Milkshake IPA, West Coast DIPA and many more. 

Brindle Haus Brewing Company

 Brindle Haus Brewing Company is a dog-friendly brewery in Spencerport, NY. Fido is welcome to join you at a table on the patio. There are 11 brews to try and one guest tap. Stop by on Wednesday for Flight Night and you can enjoy a discount on five 5-ounce pours. 

Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester

 Whether you’re looking for a playmate for Fido or just a fun day out with your dog, head to the adorably named Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Located in Fairport, NY, four-legged visitors are welcome to enjoy the Farm Walk and meet other mutts along the way. 

Pets of all shapes and sizes come out to play at McGolrick Park Dog Run in Brooklyn, NY. The off-leash area offers plenty of benches for owners to relax on.

Branch Brook Park Dog Park is pet-friendly. The park is divided into two sections: one for small dogs that is about 11,000 square feet and one for large dogs that is about 19,000 square feet. The area for larger dogs has 12 stations on which the dogs can run and climb, and the area for small dogs has nine stations.

No trip to Manhattan with your dog would be complete without a stroll through Central Park. Dogs must remain on-leash in the park except during designated off-leash hours in 23 areas of the park. Off-leash hours are before 9:00am and after 9:00pm. There are over 15 dog fountains throughout the park. Visit the website for specific information on dog-friendly areas. Make sure to always clean up after your pet.

South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ is dog-friendly. This nature reserve coverers 2,112 acres in portions of Maplewood, Millburn and West Orange. The woodland park features a variety of hardwood trees, and tall hemlocks towering above streams, creeks and ponds. The west branch of the Rahway River flows through the valley, and a 25-foot waterfall at Hemlock Falls is a dramatic feature. It is also a Revolutionary War historic site. Leashed dogs are welcome on trails and the South Mountain Dog Park is located within the Reservation.

Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY, offers a dog-friendly acres of green space for special off-leash hours (6am–9am and 9pm–1am) at the Long Meadow (except ballfields), Nethermead, Peninsula Meadow and, during those hours, even a place to swim, Dog Beach. Dogs must be leashed at all other times. The park also has a Kensington Dog Run at the Prospect Park Parade Ground.

Inwood Hill Park Trail is an easy, 2 mile hike that will take about 1 hour to complete with Fido. Moderate slopes offer you and your pup some exercise as you hike through the only natural park on Manhattan Island. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
